Welcome To The Practical Gunner
Jason Rohr also known as gunner Jason developed his love for firearms and shooting at a very early age. His father taught him how to shoot at the age of 10 with a 22 long rifle. From there his love of everything guns just blossomed.
Jason became an avid firearms history buff and began collecting military surplus Mauser rifles in his teens. In addition to this, he developed a passion for ballistics and reloading. He is a self-confessed ballistics nerd.
Jason likes to hunt, shoot, reload, and study historical firearms and their development. He started the Practical Gunner community and the Practical Gunner YouTube channel to share his love for guns hunting and shooting with other people that have the same passions.
His favorite authors are the famed Jack O'Connor, Elmer Keith, and Jim Corbett. His favorite rifle is a 700 Remington, and his favorite caliber is the 30-06 Springfield.
